Henry, Mason and Gracie are all Boxers pulled from a San Bernardino shelter where they were confiscated due to neglect and cruelty charges brought against the owners. We receive 2-5 owner surrenders a week along with multiple pleas from surrounding shelters for Boxers in need. So many Boxer are coming from families that are no longer able to financially care for them, just don't want them, many are dealing with illness or the Boxer's pet parent has passed away. Without the funding or foster homes, sadly we have to turn away these surrenders.
The number of Boxers being surrendered and in the shelters is overwhelming.
